She was a loving mother who will be remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Rhonda Whisenhunt of Longview; Larry and Glom Whisenhunt of Bangkok.

Thailand; her sisters, Olene Stanton of Moab. Charles was born April 10, 1912 in Mount Vernon to the late John Henry and Edna F. Hayes. He died Friday in Daingerfield. He attended school in Winnsoboro and later married Pauline Leach on Oct. 1933, in Cooper.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and Oasis Masonic Lodge in Daingerfield. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Johnny Hayes, and sisters, Margie Neal and Annie Limbaugh. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Leach Hayes of Daingerfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Diana Hayes of Escondido, daughters and sons-inlaw, Sharon and Mike Johnston of San Jose, Marilyn and Bob Drouillard of Cypress, and Beverly Kay and James Allen of Hughes Springs; sister, Hadie Mae Thompson of Alvarado, seven grandchildren, Stacy Hulsey of Arlington, Michelle Franklin of San Jose, Kevin and Craig Drouillard, both of Cypress, Brandon A. Nix of Pensacola, Chad Hayes of Houston and Jared Hayes of Colorado Springs, three great grandchildren, Courtney, Chelsea and Christopher Nix of Pensacola, Fla. and a host of nieces and nephews.
